Justin: Welcome to MPA’s Tech Table. I’m Justin.

Diana: And I’m Diana.

Justin: And we’re your hosts. We’ll be serving up a heaping spoonful of all things tech.

Diana: We promise, it will be easy to digest.

Justin: Monday, Monday, hey, it’s Monday.

Diana: Rainy days and Mondays.

Justin: I know, we’re gonna start paying licensing and royalties.

Diana: I know.

Justin: Here really soon if we’re not careful.

Diana: Better stop, better stop.

Justin: There are a lot of Monday tunes out there.

Diana: There are people like them or, really do not like them.

Justin: That’s true. The only Monday tune that we have is the one where we open the mailbox.

Diana: Mail time.

Justin: That’s right, mail time. It’s mail Monday, and we go to our inbox, which, what’s that email address, Diana?

Diana: Questions@askmpa.com.

Justin: That’s true. And someone wrote in, they said I’ve heard the iPhone 6 is coming, and what do you guys know about it? Well, I’m always a little behind, so the first think I said was, what’s iPhone 6, and it’s coming out? But.

Diana: Good little research.

Justin: And I immediately felt behind, cause of course I’ve just been so excited about my iPhone, and now the iPhone 6 is coming.

Diana: Yeah.

Justin: So the first thing we need to note here is that nothing is final about the iPhone 6, but here is what we’re assuming. And it’s, you know, based on previous releases and kind of how they do things.

Diana: Right, right.

Justin: So the release date is expected in the Fall. Apple’s 2014 iPhone is expected to include a larger re-designed form factor, with 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches diagonal screens. So bigger.

Diana: Bigger.

Justin: Which is a huge pain. I don’t know how I’m gonna put that in my pocket. But.

Diana: Well, it sounds like they might have, you know, one is a bigger option and then the other is more standard.

Justin: There you go. So the 4.7 inch model will be introduced around the first of September, and then the larger 5.5 model will be following later, so sometime in 2015.

Diana: Oh, okay.

Justin: Yeah.

Diana: Yeah, can you believe that they’re gonna make them bigger?

Justin: Well, you know, I have though, for as much work I try to do with my phone, sometimes it’s frustrating cause the screen’s not big enough. But I think I’m actually switching to an iPad to do most of my work now.

Diana: Yes.

Justin: I’m actually gonna go.

Diana: Well see, that’s how I feel. Like if you want a bigger screen.

Justin: Right.

Diana: Buy a tablet.

Justin: Right.

Diana: But some people really just want their phone to be the whole thing that they use, like the only thing, so.

Justin: Yeah, and I think, I really think Apple’s gonna try to plug into some of the Android users. They said I like my Android phone because its got a bigger screen.

Diana: Yeah, some of those Samsung’s particularly are bigger, aren’t they?

Justin: Right. But it’s like carrying, like you said, carrying.

Diana: Oh I know.

Justin: A tablet then.

Diana: Yeah.

Justin: I don’t know.

Diana: I don’t know.

Justin: I thought sometimes I thought you use it for what you enjoy.

Diana: Yeah, we’ll see. I’ll have to hold one and see, see what I feel.

Justin: Right. So the bigger screen will come with a higher resolution.

Diana: Ah.

Justin: It should increase picture clarity and make it one of the best resolutions, if not the best for phones.

Diana: Cool. Now as a side note, I did read that the 5.5 model is expected to have a slightly lesser quality resolution than the 4.7 inch, but it’s still higher than the 5S.

Justin: Yeah, it’s impressive.

Diana: Yeah.

Justin: Cause I think it’s clear as it is. I wonder how it’s gonna happen, when they get these things with such a high resolution that we’re not gonna be able to tell the difference. I mean they’re gonna have to give up on this sooner or later because eventually the human eye can only.

Diana: Right.

Justin: Notice certain resolutions.

Diana: Well, I mean, do you remember when they introduced HD televisions, and how you and I were holdouts for a while.

Justin: Right.

Diana: Like, oh, that’s not gonna be a big deal.

Justin: I know.

Diana: And then we saw it.

Justin: Yeah, well now they have ultra high definition too.

Diana: I know! And then Blue Ray, holy moly. I mean.

Justin: Exactly. Yeah. So there’s a lot of things about this iPhone, you can look it up, google it. See what they’re talking about. It’s gonna definitely have camera improvements as well.

Diana: I see some bigger processor improvements.

Justin: Right, and that’s good because the camera right now, a lot of people that have Androids are getting better cameras.

Diana: Yes.

Justin: So it should have some to increase the photo’s appearance. So some new things coming out there with the new iPhone 6 later this year we’ll have more information of course.

Diana: Of course.

Justin: Here at Tech Table. Send your questions to.

Diana: questions@askmpa.com.

Justin: Until next time.

Diana: Take care.
