Justin: Welcome to MPA’s Tech Table. I’m Justin.

Diana: And I’m Diana.

Justin: And we’re your hosts. We’ll be serving up a heaping teaspoonful of all things tech.

Diana: We promise, it’ll be easy to digest. Hey, Justin.

Justin: Hey, Diana.

Diana: You know, I’ve been forgetting things lately and I have to apologize. Some of my chores around the house I’ve been forgetting to do. We’ve been really busy.

Justin: Old age?

Diana: I guess so. You shouldn’t say that.

Justin: No, I shouldn’t. Well, I’m older than you too so I really shouldn’t say that. It’s true. You found this great website, it’s Web Wednesday here on the Tech Table, and you came up with this website called ReminderBaba.

Diana: Yeah. Because like I said, I kind of have this habit of forgetting things when I get really busy.

Justin: This is Reminder…R-E-M-I-N-D-E-R-B-A-B-A for Baba. I know, it’s funny to say. To create a reminder send an email using one of the formats on the website. You’ll have to explain this to me, Diana.

Diana: Right. There are formats on the website that you can go and you can see and then you’ll simply send an email to one of those email addresses, I guess you’d call it, and it will program it to send you a reminder.

Justin: Oh right, for example, I get this. So you’re going to send an email to fivedays@ReminderBaba.com and in five days your message will be returned to you.

Diana: Right. And you can actually program it to set up recurring reminders if you’d like. This is for people that maybe don’t…

Justin: You can’t see this over radio but the way I’m looking at you says, “What?”

Diana: Google calendar’s not for everyone so maybe Reminder Baba would be good for some people.

Justin: Sure. Well, yeah. I mean if you forget things generally, all the time like picking up your children from school or something like that. I know people who do that. I know it happens out there.

Diana: Here’s how you can set up a recurring reminder. You can send a message to everyTuesday4PM@ReminderBaba.com.

Justin: Now do you have to have a Reminder Baba…oh, dear. I can’t believe I even said that again. Never mind. This website, do you have to have a membership?

Diana: Yeah, I believe you have to kind of sign up and it needs to know your time zone and things like that.

Justin: Profile@ReminderBaba.com.

Diana: You can save lots of reminders into the database there so that it will remind you at the appropriate time.

Justin: One week I’m talking about the Wall Street Journal the next week I’m talking about ReminderBaba. Oh, dear. I don’t know what things are coming to. You can also use ReminderBaba to set up to-do lists.

Diana: Oh, cool.

Justin: Yeah. So you can send a message to ToDo@ReminderBaba.com and get your list back by sending a message to PendingToDo@ReminderBaba.com. Now the question is if you can’t remember to do things how can you remember all these email addresses?

Diana: Well, you just go to ReminderBaba.com and they will help you see what the appropriate email addresses are.

Justin: You have to remember to go to ReminderBaba and you have to remember what Baba. You have to remember it’s “ReminderBaba” and not “Daba” or “Laba”.

Diana: Or Abab.

Justin: It could be anything.

Diana: It could be anything.

Justin: I don’t know where you find some of these things

Diana: Yeah. We’ve talked upon stuff like that too before. StumbleUpon, things like that.

Justin: That’s true. You find a lot of interesting things out there in web land and ReminderBaba. Again, that’s R-E-M-I-N-D-E-R-B-A-B-A.com. And it may very well help you out. To me it seems a little ridiculous but it might help you out so take a look at it. Until next time.

Diana: Take care.

Justin: Tech Table is brought to you by MPA of Bloomfield, Iowa and God’s Country Radio. You can visit us online at askMPA.com.

Diana: If you have questions or comments please send them to questions@askMPA.com. That’s questions@askMPA.com.

Justin: And thanks for listening.
