Justin: Welcome to MPA’s Tech table. I’m Justin.

Diana: And I’m Diana

Justin: And we’re your hosts. We’ll be serving up heaping spoonful of all things Tech.

Diana: We promise it’ll be easy to digest.

Justin: Well, it’s Wednesday.

Diana: It is Wednesday.

Justin: So Diana, that means it’s the middle of the week.

Diana: We’re making it through.

Justin: We are, it’s good, it’s been a good week. Has it been a good week for you.

Diana: Yeah, of course.

Justin: You stay out of trouble?

Diana: Well mostly.

Justin: Yeah, do I need to know anything.

Diana: Nope, we’re good.

Justin: Alright until it hits the fan. Ya know keep me in the dark. That’s what’s good

Diana: [Laugh]

Justin: It is Web Wednesday. We always talk about a web topic and you know this time we’re ganna talk about how you know sometimes its hard to be inspired to cook. You know it’s hard to be inspired to do that.

Diana: Yeah, I hear that.

Justin: Yeah you do. It’s harder for Diana to be inspired, I don’t know you cook like once every

Diana: so often, and I guess I do enjoy it when I do.

Justin: Well, you’re very busy. Well, and I enjoy cooking too but your very busy.

Diana: Yeah, I love when you cook. You should cook more often.

Justin: Oh, that’s sweet, yeah I should, probably but I don’t have time and you know the weather, with the weather changing this time of year it’s hard to be inspired.

Diana: Right, right, what’s in season. What’s not.

Justin: And you get in a certain trend like the weather warms up and then you want to do all these really healthy things but then in Winter you want to cook these things that are really bad for you.

Diana: Soups, ummhmm.

Justin: Yeah, so you know you end up going to a restaurant a lot of times. You know and then sometimes you don’t want to go out but you want restaurant food, so what do you do. You copycat restaurant recipes. Yeah, don’t try it. That’s my advice. No, I told you I was gonna be sassy about this because I’ve never really found a copycat recipe that actually really is like the real.

Diana: Yeah, well I think the big thing about these is that it’s kind of an inspiration point for you.

Justin: Oh, that’s charming. It’s an inspiration. It’s not a copy-cat. It’s an inspiration Inspired by your favorite restaurant.

Diana: Well, if you read through some of these examples it is inspiring.

Justin: Great, so okay, here we go. There are a couple websites that you can literally find copy cat recipes now okay, I’m gonna be honest and the reason why this irritates me is because for years I have been looking for that Reese’s Pieces sort of recipe that you know it really does taste like the Reese’s peanut butter. I can’t find it still, to this day.

Diana: You might have to just experiment and come up with your own.

Justin: Or just go to the store and buy them.

Diana: You could do that.

Justin: Or even go to Amazon.com and buy them in Bulk and have them shipped to your house in two days using Amazon Prime free.

Diana: That’s an option as well.

Justin: It is, so anyways one website is CD kitchen.com CD kitchen.com. So Diana tell us about this.

Diana: Okay, so if you want to find your favorite restaurant recipes you’re going to go to Cdkitchen.com, click on the recipe link and select the copy-cat drop down. And here’s a few examples. Let’s say you really like McDonalds Big Mac. Who doesn’t like that sometimes. Right, so what about that secret sauce on there. They’ve got you covered. And here’s a hint, you need French dressing.

Justin: That’s interesting. So and if you like Barbecue sauce at Apple-bees.

Diana: Oh, this sounds right up your alley.

Justin: I know, I do enjoy Apple-bees. Looks like the secret ingredient is Apple-butter.

Diana: Ooh.

Justin: Which is interesting in there. BBQ…

Diana: See that’s what’s inspiring to me right there. Apple Butter.

Justin: Well there you go, and then Cinnabon cinnamon rolls, well that’s interesting, so they have a recipe on there for those huh.

Diana: Yeah, see if they’re as good as Grandmas. I don’t know.

Justin: And then Cheesecake factory is carrot cake cheesecake.

Diana: Very popular.

Justin: Yeah, that is very popular. So that’s one website. There are others but that’s CDkitchen.com. Check it out. Try out those Copy-cat recipes. If you find a good one send me not the link but send me the actual food.

Diana: The actual food. Yup.

Justin: Until next time.

Diana: Take care
