Justin: Welcome to MPA’s “Tech Table” I’m Justin…

Diana: And, I’m Diana…

Justin: …and we’re your hosts. We’ll be serving up a heaping spoonful of all things tech.

Diana: We promise it’ll be easy to digest! Friday!

Justin: It is Friday again. The week has flown by.

Diana: Happy Friday!

Justin: That’s right. It’s been a good week, though. Have you had a good week?

Diana: Yes, for sure.

Justin: Excellent, good. So, today, we always talk about Friday Faves, things around the office that our wonderful team at MPA brings up to us that are some new things that they’ve caught onto during the week.

Diana: Friday itself is one of my favorite things. Just getting to this day is a highlight for me.

Justin: Well, that’s good. You a little stressed out or something? Do we need to talk? Just kidding. Yes, you’re right. Getting to Friday is always good. So, of course, fashion trends. What have you got there, Diana?

Diana: Well, it is fall, and those who follow fashion really know that fall is a big time of year for fashion.

Justin: I put on a coat.

Diana: You put on a coat.

Justin: I do. Exciting stuff.

Diana: I think it’s a great time to buy new coats.

Justin: Yeah, you have like fourteen coats.

Diana: At least.

Justin: It’s incredible.

Diana: Well, one of Jodie’s favorite fashion trends in the fall is boots. She loves her boots. And so, she broke hers out. You know, Justin, I looked up boots on Wikipedia…

Justin: I see you have this huge list of different kinds of boots.

Diana: I starting thinking to myself, there’s a lot of different kinds of boots, and so I wanted to just see if there was a collective list on the internet. Wikipedia, of course, a great resource for things like this. And then, I added my own knowledge, because they didn’t have some listed. Here’s some different kinds of boots: ankle boots, midcalf boots, hip boots, knee-high boots, over-the-knee boots, wedge boots, dress boots, cowboy boots, fashion boots, sport boots, cowboy boots, engineer boots, harness boots, hiking boots, motocross boots, motorcycle boots, mountaineering boots, racing boots, snow boots, waiter’s workboots, equestrian boots and military boots.

Justin: That’s a lot of boots.

Diana: Catch them all?

Justin: I did, and I’m very pleased to know that you don’t have all of those in your closet. That’s good. That’s a good thing. Yeah, so I guess, boots are a trend for fall.

Diana: Absolutely.

Justin: I haven’t even thought about that, honestly. I don’t really think about that until winter.

Diana: Steel-toed boots, there’s another.

Justin: Yeah. There you go. All right, Diana, that’s great. Now, I have a fave.

Diana: You do?

Justin: I do. My fave is a new little gadget called “Tile”, and Tile, I know you’ve maybe not heard of this, Tile is a little square tile, little old plastic thing, and it actually works with your smartphone, and you can buy these Tiles online and they help you find your lost stuff. So, you put a Tile on your keyring, you can put a Tile on your dog, you can put a tile on your kid, and literally, you can find it using your smartphone, using GPS.

Diana: Okay, and we’ve talked about stickers like that before, but this is a tile.

Justin: Yeah, this is called Tile, and it’s a new startup company. They’re really cool. You can get multiple Tiles. And, the cool thing about this is, if it’s out of range for your smartphone, other Tile users, their smartphones, will help you find your missing whatever. So, if you have one in your car and you can’t find it, you’re in a city. Other Tile users smartphones’ technology will help.

Diana: So, is it like a network that you can get on, be like “hey, other Tile users, I need help?”

Justin: No. It just uses their signals from their smartphones to enhance your area. Yeah, it’s very smart technology. A lot of fun. So, do we have anything else?

Diana: Another gadget Donnie really likes, he’s sticking with Apple products, his headphones. They feature not only amazing sound quality and comfort, but also has hands-free functionality and a built-in microphone.

Justin: Cool, so some headphones there. So you’ve got your Tile, your headphones and your boots and you’ll be set for the weekend.

Diana: That’s right!

Justin: Until next time…

Diana: …take care!
