Justin: Welcome to MPA’s Tech Table. I’m Justin.

Diana: And I’m Diana.

Justin: And we’re your hosts. We’ll be serving up a heaping spoonful of all things tech.

Diana: We promise it’ll be easy to digest.

Justin: It’s Friday!

Diana: Yes. It. Is.

Justin: Today we’re going to talk about Friday favorites, like we always do here on the Tech Table.

Diana: Yep, but we do have a little bit of a different twist on it today.

Justin: Do we?

Diana: Yes, yes.

Justin: What have you got planned for us?

Diana: Well, since it’s nice summertime…

Justin: Absolutely.

Diana: …time of year. [LAUGHS]

Justin: Summertime time of year, that’s right.

Diana: I was really interested in what people were doing at home.

Justin: Right.

Diana: For projects around the house.

Justin: Projects, exactly. You know, you always, you wait for the nice weather. Even if it’s a project indoors, a lot of times you wait for the nice weather, because it just…

Diana: You just feel better about doing it.

Justin: Exactly, it’s hard to get motivated when it’s freezing cold all the time.

Diana: Yes, yes.

Justin: Absolutely. So you went around the office and asked what people were working on?

Diana: Yes, yeah, and I liked everybody’s answers. Really, really good stuff. Now Jodie just bought a house.

Justin: Right.

Diana: And she and her family just moved into a new home…a new to them home. And they have been decorating her daughter’s room.

Justin: Yes, and you know Jodie’s a designer…

Diana: Yes.

Justin: …so I can only imagine the cool room that this is going to be.

Diana: Yes.

Justin: That’s exciting to me.

Diana: And I’m sure she has a plan for how it will evolve, even the next few years.

Justin: Oh, I know, and she does all this neat, like, painting and etching on the walls, and things like that.

Diana: She does a lot of lettering.

Justin: Yeah, I’m sure it’s just really cool. Right, and then John, in tech, he says that he has enough projects for everyone [LAUGHS].

Diana: Oh okay, so call him if you’re bored. [LAUGHS]

Justin: That’s right, and his biggest one would be his Camaro.

Diana: Oh, he’s working on that Camaro.

Justin: Yes, working on that Camaro. Sounds like a lot of fun. I always wish I had time to do something like that. I just don’t feel like I have time for that.

Diana: Well, I’m sure that John would say you just gotta make time.

Justin: That…that’s probably true. Maybe it would help if I didn’t work three different jobs.

[LAUGHTER]

Justin: Oh boy, okay. And then, Moire, the office cat…

Diana: The cat.

Justin: MPA mascot. Says just keeping the company organized. Day by day it’s an ongoing battle, you know?

Diana: Yes, Moire does keep us all in line.

Justin: He does.

Diana: If he ever catches us, you know, just chatting…chit chatting around the office, he stares us down.

Justin: Yeah, he stares you down, he comes over and expects you to pay attention to him.

Diana: He tells on us sometimes.

Justin: He does, he does, he’s like that.

[LAUGHTER]

Justin: And then Nathan, also in tech, he’s turning an Android tablet into a full blown replacement for a desktop/laptop for a computer tech. Nathan is really into the technology.

Diana: Yeah that blows my mind right there.

Justin: Yeah, and so, yeah, he’s taking an Android tablet and turning it into a replacement desktop/laptop. That’s pretty cool.

Diana: Yeah, now Donnie, he, somewhat recently, moved into a new place, and he has some six foot shelves, he says.

Justin: Those are some long shelves.

Diana: He’s hanging, and additionally, he’s got a sectional he’s trying to move. These are difficult things to do on your own.

Justin: Yeah, well moving a sectional, I remember, we lived on the third floor in an apartment once…did we leave that sectional in the third floor once we got it up there? When we moved out, did we leave that there?

Diana: Surely not.

Justin: I almost think that we did.

Diana: Really?

Justin: No, surely not, though.

Diana: Surely not.

Justin: Surely we just had someone come and take it out of there.

Diana: [LAUGHS] I don’t remember, honestly.

Justin: Moving a sectional out of an apartment is always tough, and Donnie does live on the second floor. So that’s not a fun time. And then Chris is always…he’s an outdoors guy, so he’s trying to grow stuff.

Diana: Yes, and hang with his kids.

Justin: Yeah, and hang with his kids.

Diana: Good summertime stuff.

Justin: Great summertime activities. Absolutely. So, you know, take some time this weekend and enjoy yourself and the projects that you’re working on. Until next time…

Diana: Take care.

Justin: Tech Table was brought to you by MPA of Bloomfield, Iowa, and God’s Country Radio. You can visit us online at askmpa.com.
