Laptop or iPad?

This week’s question: Pat from Ottumwa asks, “I need a new computer for my home.  I would like to consider an IPad but my husband wants a laptop.  He feels he will have problems without having actual keys to use.  I’ve suggested getting a keypad to use with the IPad but he doesn’t want to have them both sitting in his lap.  What should we get?”

Moire’s answer: My dearest Pat, thank you for your email!  I’m sorry I was on holiday at the spa last week so I couldn’t answer it immediately!  I’ve returned well rested and well groomed – ready for tech battle.  I have done some quick research and I think I can make a recommendation.

I believe you and your husband would be quite content with a new convertible touchscreen laptop.  Both the LENOVO YOGA and theMICROSOFT SURFACE would be a good fit.  These machines can be used as either a traditional laptop or flipped around and used as a touchscreen tablet!  It’s the best of both worlds!
