In Memoriam: Moiré

July 14, 2016

From welcoming customers at the door, to sharing his journal on Twitter, Moiré was an integral part of the MPA team. Now running happily in kitty heaven, he may be gone from our daily lives here in our company headquarters, but he’ll never be forgotten.

Moiré: 20?? – 2016

Moiré was always a big supporter of the “shop local” movement.

He loved to bask in the warm glow of the afternoon sun.

A favorite memory from Jodie: Every morning a lady with her two white dogs would walk by and say “hi” to Moiré. She even took his picture once.

There was that time he decided to jump on the New Year’s resolution bandwagon.

He loved his country…

Michael shares: My favorite thing was when customers would come in and talk about Moiré’s latest updates on Facebook.

He created memes that entertained fans on social media:

You will be missed Moire. You were an incredible Cat!!!

    • Thank you so much for your kind words.

  2. Louise Perry

My little white doggies, Presli & Lexi, and I loved to stop at the MPA windows & flirt with Moiré. He was a beautiful kitty and we are so sorry that he will no longer be in the window to see us.

    • We, too, will miss the interaction Moiré had with you, Presli & Lexi.

  7. Joleen Reynolds

It is ironic to me that Moire is gone. Our faithful cat, Maxwell, also left us this week. I miss him so much! We really enjoyed reading Moire’s posts and seeing his pictures, he was a busy cat!!! Moire, you will be missed!!! I don’t know if MPA will survive without all your helpfulness!!!

    • Much love to you and your family as you mourn the loss of Maxwell, too. Kitties are so special!

  8. Dave

I only met Moire a few times but always enjoyed his ‘ask Moire’ column. He even answered one of our kitties question in his column!

Yes, a couple of tears….. It is always hard to lose a family member!

    • So glad Moiré was able to bring joy to your life while he was with us. He will definitely be missed!

  9. Doug Dixon

He loved it when I did my cat whisperer trick to him. on his back all stretched out on my lap, head in hands, arched back to the extreme with my fingers rubbing his ears. sublime :>)

    • Thank you for sharing your memory, Doug. :)

  10. Jane Pisarik
