Originally part of a summer intern program, the Davis County Today started as a weekly print newspaper that carried information on events happening in the area where MPA is located. The paper also contained advertising, which covered the cost of publication, and was distributed in bundles to 40 locations in the greater Davis County area. Through a lengthy application process, a local high school student was chosen to receive a paid internship in which he took the paper from concept & design through publication & creation of the web version.
After the original intern program concluded, the Davis County Today evolved from the paper version to maintaining a presence solely online. Now including a dedicated Facebook page and website, Davis County Today continues to bring the community together through technology.
